Unsettled rainy weather will affect almost all of Finland on Monday and Tuesday, with thunderstorms possible in both the south and north, Yle meteorologist Henriikka Heikinoja said.
Monday afternoon will bring a broken band of rain across southern and central Finland, while scattered showers are expected in the north. Thunderstorms may accompany the rain in the south, and locally heavy showers are possible in the southeast. Overall rainfall totals are expected to remain fairly low.
Temperatures will mostly range from 15 to 20 degrees Celsius on Monday. By evening, the scattered rain will move towards central Finland, while conditions will become drier in the south and parts of Lapland, with breaks developing in the cloud cover.
The unsettled weather will continue on Tuesday as a low-pressure system remains over Finland. Showers and drizzle will affect much of the country, although drier areas are expected, for example, in the east and near the coast. Temperatures will again mostly reach 15 to 20 degrees.
