Atria to end cattle slaughtering in Jyväskylä, move it to Kauhajoki

Finnish meat company Atria plans to end cattle slaughtering entirely at its slaughterhouse in Jyväskylä and centralise the work in Kauhajoki, Yle reports.

Atria has begun change negotiations covering the entire workforce at the Jyväskylä cattle slaughterhouse. Around 20 employees could face possible redundancies.

The company decided last year to centralise cattle cutting and packaging in Kauhajoki.
