Fire breaks out in diesel car in Reykjavík
mbl.is reports that the cause of a fire that engulfed a diesel passenger car in Reykjavík this morning remains unclear.
The fire started in a car parked near the junction of Víðimelur and Furumelur. The Reykjavík fire service received the alert at 8.15am and quickly extinguished the blaze, according to a duty officer.
Owners of nearby vehicles moved their cars away. Police have taken over the scene, and the burned vehicle will be removed by Krókur.
