Road work to cause traffic delays on Iceland’s Route 1

Traffic delays are expected on Route 1 in Norðurárdalur valley in Skagafjörður and at Öxnadalsheiði mountain pass on Friday, mbl.is reports.

The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration said maintenance and paving work will be carried out on the national road in the area.

Drivers travelling through the locations are asked to drive carefully and show consideration.
