Petra Klein joins Syndis management team

Petra Klein has joined the management team of Syndis, an Icelandic cybersecurity company, mbl.is reports. She will lead the company’s development and operations in the Swedish market while supporting its continued expansion across the Nordic region.

Klein brings extensive experience in cybersecurity, information security, strategy and management. She has served as chief security officer at Swedbank, one of the Nordic region’s largest financial companies, where she was responsible for security across a group with about 17,000 employees.

“Throughout her career, Petra has built deep expertise in cybersecurity, risk management and security governance in large and complex international operations,” Syndis said in a statement.

Syndis CEO Anton Egilsson said the company was “extremely pleased” to welcome Klein, describing her as someone with a unique combination of technical knowledge, management experience and a deep understanding of the needs of large companies.

“Her experience leading security operations within a group such as Swedbank has given her a unique perspective on the challenges large companies face when it comes to cyber threats, regulation, resilience and digital transformation,” Egilsson said. “This experience will be extremely valuable to Syndis as we take the next steps in the company’s international growth.”
