Truck overturns in Ártúnsbrekka, injuring one person

One person was taken to hospital after a truck overturned onto its side in Ártúnsbrekka on Wednesday morning, mbl.is reports. A fire service watch commander said the person is believed to have suffered minor injuries.

Firefighters remained at the scene because oil was leaking from the truck. Efforts were under way to prevent it from entering the soil.

Staff from Olíudreifing were expected to pump the oil from the vehicle. The truck will then be lifted and removed.

The circumstances of the accident were not yet known.
