Police detain suspect with stolen goods and suspected drugs

Police detained a person after an attempt to pay for groceries with a stolen credit card, mbl.is reports.

The Capital Area Police said the investigation also found that the person was carrying suspected stolen goods from another shop. The person was also found with suspected narcotics and placed in a holding cell.

Police district 4, which covers Grafarvogur, Mosfellsbær and Árbær, received a report of a break-in and theft at a delicatessen, where food was stolen.

The same district also handled a workplace accident in which a person was injured after falling from a ladder. The injuries were minor, but the person was taken to the emergency department for examination.

Another person was removed from the reception area of a hotel in central Reykjavik after causing a disturbance.
