Nýggjaberg, nature, puffin hunting

Jens Jákup Hansen has descended Nýggjaberg, a cliff, for the first time in 80 years, Kringvarp Føroya reports. The descent was documented and will later be featured in a documentary.

Residents of Miðvágur harvested puffins at Nýggjaberg in the 1930s, but an accident brought the activity to an end. Hansen has now attempted to descend the cliff in the same way they used to.
