Heavy rain blasts sewer covers off in Næstved

Several sewer covers near Næstved Harbour were forced off by heavy rain overnight and early Wednesday, DR reports.

Southern Zealand has received substantial rainfall, including in Næstved, where several sewer covers were dislodged after large volumes of water fell.

The Danish Meteorological Institute, DMI, has warned of cloudbursts and thunder. It said the showers are being caused by warm, unstable air moving over Denmark from the southwest until the morning.
