Two freezer trawlers are currently off the coast of the Faroe Islands, with one operating near Iceland and the other returning from Greenland. These vessels are catching cod, haddock, and pollock.

Six freezer trawlers are docked, alongside other Icelandic fishing vessels. While currents are strong, conditions are expected to improve as the week progresses.

Fishing activity is limited this week due to variable weather conditions, which has prompted the fish market to anticipate reduced outings. One ice trawler is targeting black halibut, another is fishing for kingfish, and a vessel is positioned near Iceland for cod fishing.

A freezer trawler is operating near the Faroe Islands, and another is off East Greenland; both are focused on black halibut catches.

Regarding part-time trawlers, it has been reported that three pairs are involved in fishing for haddock and other whitefish, with the haddock catch showing good returns. Two pairs of vessels are targeting Atlantic salmon.

Other trawlers are also at sea. One is operating northward, primarily catching cod, haddock, and some flatfish. Two other trawlers are en route to port, mainly fishing for flatfish and cod, with satisfactory results reported.

Additionally, two gillnetters are catching black halibut while two others are targeting coalfish, although their catch has been modest.
