More than two million Finns will receive tax refunds today, Yle reports. The Finnish Tax Administration will pay out a total of 1.1 billion euros.

For around 340,000 people, today is the deadline for paying residual income tax. The total amount due is 260 million euros.

Today is also the deadline for property tax payments for nearly two million people. A total of 440 million euros in property tax is due.

The Finnish Tax Administration has warned about scam messages sent during the tax refund period. The messages aim to obtain victims’ banking or personal information.
