VAT on petrol and diesel to return at midnight

Value-added tax on petrol and diesel will be reinstated at midnight, KVF reports, ending a three-month exemption. The 25 percent tax will increase fuel prices by about three kroner per litre.
If other prices remain unchanged, petrol at EFFO will rise from 11.35 kroner to 14.19 kroner per litre, while diesel will increase from 11.53 kroner to 14.41 kroner.
At Magn, petrol will rise from 11.55 kroner to 14.44 kroner per litre, and diesel from 11.73 kroner to 14.66 kroner.
The VAT exemption for petrol and diesel was a temporary measure and will expire at midnight.
