One-third of all tourists visiting Denmark stay overnight in just three municipalities, according to a report by Danish broadcaster DR.

Both domestic and international tourism in the country continues to grow, with last year setting a new record for overnight stays—33 percent higher than a decade ago.

The surge in visitors brings economic benefits, including job creation and increased revenue, but also places pressure on local communities and cultural identity, particularly along the west coast.
