High pressure keeps weather dry

A high-pressure system is maintaining dry conditions across Finland on Monday, though a low-pressure front approaching from the south will bring rain to the southeast by Tuesday, according to the Finnish public broadcaster Yle.

Temperatures remain cool for the early part of the week but are expected to rise gradually. Afternoon conditions are mostly dry under the high-pressure influence, with the exception of northern Lapland, where scattered showers are possible. Cloud cover increases toward the east, while temperatures hover between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius.

Skies are forecast to clear widely by evening, though southern regions will see increased cloudiness as the low-pressure system arrives. Frost warnings are in effect overnight for northern areas and parts of Ostrobothnia.
