Finland, forecast, weather

Finland will remain largely dry on Friday, except in northern Lapland, according to Yle’s meteorologists.

Temperatures in the south and central regions are expected to reach around 25°C under sunny skies, while the north will see cooler conditions between 15–23°C. Central and northern Lapland will be mostly cloudy.

A significant shift is forecast for the weekend, with heavy rain, strong winds, and temperatures dropping below 20°C replacing the sunshine and warmth, said Yle meteorologist Aleksi Lohtander.

On Saturday, rain will become more widespread. Morning and afternoon showers will be scattered, particularly from Ostrobothnia to Kainuu, though thunderstorms may also occur further south. Lapland will stay dry with partial cloud cover. By evening, the rain will turn steadier and intensify.
