Finns urged to enjoy summer weather before weekend change
Finns should make the most of the warm, sunny conditions while they last, as rain and cooler temperatures are expected by the weekend, Yle meteorologist Aleksi Lohtander advised on Thursday.
High pressure currently dominates Finland’s weather, bringing widespread sunshine or partial cloud cover. UV levels are strong, and temperatures exceed 20°C nationwide, with western regions likely to see heatwave conditions above 25°C. Winds are moderate in Lapland but light elsewhere.
Friday will remain largely dry and sunny across most of the country, though central and northern Lapland will cool slightly. Rain is set to spread widely from Saturday onward.
