Fishing fees for mackerel to rise sharply on 1 August

The Faroese government will raise fishing fees for mackerel and blue whiting on 1 August, with the mackerel rate increasing to 7.73 krona per kilogram, reports KVF.

The current mackerel fee is 4.50 krona per kilogram. The blue whiting fee will rise to 0.76 krona per kilogram, up from 0.43 krona. The herring fee will decrease to 1.49 krona per kilogram, down from 1.51 krona.
