Yle and Seinäjoki Tango Festival extend partnership through 2027

Finnish broadcaster Yle will continue its collaboration with the Seinäjoki Tango Festival in 2027, extending a partnership that resumed last year after a brief hiatus, Yle reports.

The cooperation, which began in 1985, includes live broadcasts of the festival’s semi-final and final on Yle TV1. Last year’s broadcasts reached nearly two million viewers, with the final ranking as the most-watched programme of its broadcast week. Strong audiences were also recorded on Yle Areena and radio.

This summer, Radio Suomi received its own stage on Tango Street for the first time.
