Cyber attacks targeting Finnish organisations increased by 35% compared to June last year, according to a report by the threat intelligence unit of cybersecurity firm Check Point Software Technologies.

The rise in attacks was observed nearly worldwide, with the education and research sector, public administration, and telecommunications most frequently targeted.

The report also highlights significant risks tied to the use of generative AI, as companies feed sensitive material—including personal data, financial information, and legal documents—into AI systems.
