Oslo crowds gather early for Norway-Brazil World Cup clash
Long queues formed outside Spikersuppa in central Oslo hours before Norway’s World Cup match against Brazil, as fans secured spots in front of the big screen, Dagbladet reports.
Among the earliest arrivals was Viktor Jaktsland from Asker, who joined the line at 9 am. “We’ll give it 60-40 to Norway, with a bit of optimism,” he said. Asked who would score, he replied: “Haaland scores, we know that. But we’ll need more than one, so Haaland scores two. 2-1, I think.”
Many brought Norwegian flags, national team jerseys, and camping chairs to pass the time, with some playing card games like Uno while waiting for kickoff. Local bars and restaurants reported full bookings and high demand as supporters treated the match day as an all-day event.
The eighth-final showdown has generated intense anticipation, with Oslo bracing for a citywide celebration.
