Weekend weather remains unstable across Finland
Unsettled weather will persist through the weekend, according to a forecast by Finland’s national broadcaster Yle.
Southern and central regions will see variable cloud cover on Saturday, with slow-moving rain or thunder showers expected in many areas. The stationary nature of the downpours may lead to locally heavy accumulations.
Western and northern Lapland are also likely to experience rain showers, while Kainuu, Koillismaa, and much of the rest of Lapland will stay largely dry with sunshine breaking through.
Conditions improve on Sunday, with clearing skies and dry weather spreading across Lapland. Southern and central Finland, however, will continue to see unstable and changeable conditions, keeping umbrellas in demand.
