Finland’s economy to grow 1.5% this year, Hypo forecasts
Finland’s gross domestic product will expand by 1.5% in 2026 and 1.7% next year, according to a new economic outlook from mortgage lender Hypo.
Hypo attributes the sluggish growth to weak consumer confidence, which it expects to recover only with a delay.
While purchasing power is improving for those in work, younger jobseekers face greater difficulty entering the labour market, with unemployment spells lengthening. Hypo projects the unemployment rate will remain high at 10% next year.
