Police suspect multiple drugging incidents at Tinderbox festival

Police in Odense suspect several attendees at this year’s Tinderbox festival were drugged, with their drinks allegedly spiked to impair judgment, Fyns Politi told DR.

Victims later had money withdrawn from their accounts, according to duty officer Peter Vestergaard, who said investigations would now determine whether drugging occurred. He added that fraud charges may also apply.

No victims required hospital treatment, though several provided blood samples to check for foreign substances. Vestergaard declined to specify the number of cases, noting more could emerge.

Overall, police reported a normal volume of incidents for the three-day event, given the large crowd in a confined space.
