Faroe Islands unemployment remains low

Unemployment in the Faroe Islands remains low, with the rate at 0.8% in May, down 0.2 percentage points from the same month last year, according to figures from the Faroese statistics agency Hagstovan reported by KVF.

In May, 308 people were unemployed, 63 fewer than in May 2025. Men accounted for 188 of the unemployed, while women numbered 120.
