Collision on Vitontie near Kajaani results in death of passenger car driver

A collision occurred on Vitontie, north of Kajaani, involving a passenger car and a timber truck loaded with goods. The accident happened around 7 PM local time. Unfortunately, the driver of the passenger car died at the scene, while the truck driver escaped unharmed. Both drivers were alone in their vehicles at the time of the crash.

According to rescue services, the incident took place about one kilometer north of the Kuluntalahden ramp. The roadway was temporarily closed for cleanup efforts but has since reopened, allowing traffic to resume normally.
