Midsummer outbound traffic continues today

Outbound traffic for Midsummer will continue through Friday, according to the Finnish Traffic Management Agency’s road traffic centre.

The busiest travel day was Thursday, but people heading to celebrations are still on the roads. Traffic is expected to ease by the afternoon.

Police are monitoring both road and water traffic. Return traffic will begin Sunday morning, though while lighter, congestion may still occur.
