Facade collapse reported at Keinulaudantie 5 in Helsinki

A building facade has collapsed in Helsinki. The incident occurred yesterday in Kontula at Keinulaudantie 5. The cause of the collapse has not yet been determined, according to Marjo Lyytikäinen, vice chairperson of the housing company’s board at Keinulaudantie 5.
Lyytikäinen reported that there were people in the vicinity during the incident, but no one was trapped under the fallen section. The damaged end of the building has now been secured with fencing, and an investigation into the circumstances of the event will commence.
The Helsinki Fire Department stated that the facade collapse did not result in any calls for emergency services.
