Man dies in collision between car and logging truck on Highway 9

A man in his 40s died on Tuesday when his car collided head-on with a logging truck on Highway 9 in Laukaa, Central Finland, police report.

The driver of the car, who was alone in the vehicle, died instantly on impact. The crash occurred at 12:30 local time near Kuopiontie.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident, which disrupted traffic on Highway 9 for several hours in both directions toward Kuopio and Jyväskylä.
