Correction: Russian cyber harassment did not disrupt Kuopio city bikes

Yle reported earlier this month that Russian cyber harassment linked to the war in Ukraine had disrupted Kuopio’s city bike system. However, the claim was an interpretation by the Czech bike-sharing system supplier and Kuopio’s mobility services, and cannot be verified as fact.

According to Traficom, the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency, Russian cyber harassment has not affected Kuopio. Earlier reports of interference this spring were geographically limited to southeastern Finland.
