Car crashes into house in Lærdal, two seriously injured

A car drove into a house along the E16 highway in Lærdal, Vestland, on Friday afternoon, leaving two people seriously injured, Dagbladet reports.

Emergency services responded to the scene, where cardiopulmonary resuscitation was being performed on the victims, according to operations manager Ole Ronny Olsen of the Vest police district.

The house, a holiday home, was unoccupied at the time. The road remains closed, and an air ambulance has been dispatched. Police reported the incident at 15:13 local time.

Traffic congestion has built up in the area. Police are investigating, and the accident response team from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration is en route.
