Finnish early potatoes, vegetables, and strawberries will be available for Midsummer celebrations, according to the agricultural organisation Pro Agria.

Early potatoes have already been harvested in several regions and will be widely available by Midsummer. The first outdoor-grown cucumbers, early cabbages, and garden peas have also reached markets, joining bundled fresh herbs. Warm weather this summer has accelerated the growth of outdoor vegetables.

Strawberries and raspberries are already available from polytunnels. The first open-field strawberries are now being picked in southwestern Finland, with the main outdoor harvest season beginning at Midsummer.
