Finnish public broadcaster seeks accounts from siblings of young people with eating disorders

Finnish national broadcaster Yle is collecting firsthand experiences from siblings of children and adolescents with eating disorders to examine the support they receive and need.

The call for submissions focuses on the perspectives of young siblings, asking those who have or currently have a brother or sister with an eating disorder to share their stories. Responses will be used solely for journalistic purposes and will not be disclosed to third parties, Yle stated.

Participants may choose whether to be identified by name in any published content, though parental consent will be required for minors wishing to be named. The submission form will remain open until August 23, 2026.
