Faroese priest to serve as interim vicar in Eiði parish

The Faroese Church has appointed Ida Lykke Kannuberg as interim vicar for Eiði parish while the current vicar, Jonhard Jógvansson, is on study leave, state broadcaster KVF reports.

Kannuberg will serve from August through October, with her formal installation set for a church service at Eiði Church on August 2. A native of Vinde Helsinge in western Zealand, Denmark, she completed her theology degree at the University of the Faroe Islands in 2021.
