Danish public broadcaster survey reveals what locals love most about their country

A nationwide survey by Danish broadcaster DR’s regional radio network P4 has found that Danes most cherish their country’s welfare system, freedom of speech, and sense of community.

The results, published ahead of Constitution Day, were gathered over weeks from respondents across Denmark. Nature, trust in public institutions, and the Danish concept of hygge also ranked highly among the qualities locals value most.

The survey asked Danes to name what they “love most” about their country, with answers collected through P4’s regional stations.
