A significant telecommunications disruption has been reported at the Päijät-Häme Central Hospital. The issue, caused by a short circuit from the construction site at the hospital, has led to the cancellation of surgeries and appointments at the outpatient clinic for today. This disruption also affects the Lahti social welfare center.

Due to the telecommunications failure, the call center is currently unable to transfer calls. The issue may also complicate communication and phone services for other operators within the Päijät-Häme welfare region.

Emergency services and on-call assistance continue to operate as usual, but there may be an increase in demand leading to potential delays. The disruption was detected this morning, and it is currently being investigated by the service provider, Fujitsu.
