A destructive fire that leveled a residential property in Forssa is not currently suspected to be arson, according to Häme Police. The blaze, which broke out Thursday on Raitoontie near the Urjala border, destroyed all buildings on the property and spread to roughly three hectares of surrounding land.

Firefighters received the first alert Thursday morning, with suppression efforts continuing through the night. No injuries were reported, but the fire’s intensity—fueled by dry conditions and wind—allowed it to spread into adjacent forest, said duty fire chief Olli Heikkilä. Authorities had urged the public to avoid the area during operations.

The fire drew about 30 units from rescue services across Kanta-Häme, Pirkanmaa, and Varsinais-Suomi. A regional forest fire warning remains in effect for both Kanta-Häme and Pirkanmaa, where the incident occurred on the county line.

Police have launched an investigation into the cause, while rescue services had not speculated on ignition factors during suppression. The property was located next to a clear-cut area.
