Faroe Islands
The Faroese national broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya will mark the 90th anniversary of the Norðoyastevna festival with live radio and television coverage from Klaksvík on Friday, beginning at 14:00 local time.
The broadcast will originate from the cultural centre Varpini, where organisers and guests will discuss the festival’s history and preview this year’s events. Coverage will then shift to the rowing competitions at 15:20, with parallel broadcasts on both radio and television.
The Norðoyastevna festival, first held in 1936, remains one of the Faroe Islands’ longest-running regional celebrations.
