Finland to see near 25°C temperatures before weekend rain and cooling trend
Temperatures in southern Finland may climb close to 25°C on Saturday, according to the Finnish Meteorological Institute, though rain and cooler conditions are expected to follow by Sunday.
Forecaster Juha Jantunen told STT that skies will remain mostly sunny to partly cloudy across the country, with temperatures reaching around 20°C as far north as southern Lapland. The warmest conditions are forecast in the south, where readings could approach 25°C.
Rain is set to return on Sunday, with widespread showers likely to push temperatures below 15°C in many areas. Western and southern regions may stay drier, with highs near 20°C and possible sunshine.
The cooling trend will continue into early next week, with Monday bringing the possibility of snow in Lapland. Tuesday and Wednesday will remain chilly, with southern Finland seeing highs around 10°C by midweek.
“As we move further into next week, temperatures will keep dropping,” Jantunen said.
