IRF raises waste disposal prices by about 5 percent from June 1

IRF, the Faroese waste management company, will increase its prices by approximately 5 percent from 1 June, citing higher operating costs.
Small burnable waste will rise by 13 kroner per cubic metre to 248 kroner. Large waste for reduction and incineration will cost 16 kroner more, reaching 331 kroner per cubic metre. Live waste for incineration will increase by 50 kroner to 1,040 kroner. Paper for recycling will cost 3 kroner more per square metre, now 48 kroner.
All prices exclude VAT, IRF said.
