Faroese trawler lands Norway’s largest blue whiting catch of the year

A Faroese fishing vessel has unloaded the single largest blue whiting catch in Norway this year, according to a report by Faroese broadcaster **Kringvarp Føroya**.

The trawler *Chr. í Grótinum*, owned by Christian í Grótinum, delivered **3,505 tonnes** of blue whiting to the port of Egersund. Two other Faroese vessels combined landed an additional **5,000 tonnes** at the same location.

The blue whiting was caught in Faroese waters. A temporary ban on foreign landings of the species in Norway is set to expire on **15 May**.
