Two children found unresponsive at Kuusijärvi beach in Vantaa

On Friday at the Kuusijärvi beach in Vantaa, lifeguards and a father were present when two children were found unresponsive in the water. According to Markku Tiusanen, the supervising official for Vantaa’s swimming beaches, three lifeguards were on duty when the father reported that his children were missing. The lifeguards immediately commenced a search for the children in the water. An announcement was also made at the beach, alerting visitors that two children were missing.

Once the children were found, lifeguards, bystanders with professional skills, and police personnel initiated resuscitation efforts. Following these efforts, the children were transported to a hospital for further medical care.
