Faroese salmon prices over three times higher than in Iceland

The average price for frozen salmon is more than three times higher in the Faroe Islands than in Iceland, according to employment minister Hanna Katrín Friðriksson.

Friðriksson cited figures from the Faroese consumer agency Vørn, stating that the average price in the Faroe Islands stands at 13 Danish kroner. The minister’s comments came in response to a question from Althingi member Eydís Ásbjörnsdóttur.
