New booking system in Faroe Islands leads to price changes for tourist ferries
The new booking system introduced by the National Tourist Ferries in the Faroe Islands, now active on most island routes, has resulted in significant differences in ticket prices. Creating a user account on the new booking platform offers advantages for travelers.
For instance, a one-way ticket for a vehicle on the Suduroy route costs 96 DKK if booked through a registered user. Without an account, the price rises to 112.50 DKK. If travelers choose to board without a reservation, the same one-way ticket will cost 129.50 DKK.
“This is a necessary change,” stated Regin Toftegaard, project manager for the booking system.
The booking system is applicable on the following island routes:
– 7 – Tvøroyri – Tórshavn
– 36 – Sørvágur – Mykines
– 56 – Klaksvík – Kalsoy
– 66 – Sandur – Skúvoy
