Jyväskylä neo-Nazi club forced to leave premises after landlord terminates lease
The property owner of a Jyväskylä building used by the neo-Nazi group Blood & Honour has terminated its lease following a report by Finnish broadcaster Yle, stating it “does not want to be associated in any way” with such activity.
According to Yle’s investigative program MOT, the far-right network has operated actively in the Jyväskylä region, including organizing a neo-Nazi gathering in the city last Saturday. The report identified the group’s clubhouse on the outskirts of Jyväskylä using images shared on social media.
The property is owned by real estate firm Vuoriluolat Oy and managed by Pose Oy. Both companies share partial ownership with real estate investors Esa Polas and Jukka Seppänen, who also hold stakes in the local ice hockey team JYP.
Pose Oy’s technical director Perttu Peltola confirmed the company recognized the premises from Yle’s published images. He stated that an individual had rented the space for hobby use, adding: “We were not aware that an organized group like this was behind it, and if we had known, we certainly would not have rented it.”
Upon learning of the Blood & Honour activities, Pose Oy moved to terminate the lease. Peltola declined to specify the exact grounds for cancellation but emphasized: “We do not want to be involved in any way with this kind of activity.”
Social media images suggest the group had used the Vuoriluolat Oy property as its clubhouse for nearly a decade. Additionally, the Jyväskylä Regional Youth Association announced it would review its rental policies after unknowingly leasing a venue to Blood & Honour for a music event three years in a row.
