Former student suspected in Fagersta school sword attack

A former student is suspected of carrying out the sword attack at Brinellskolan in Fagersta, according to information obtained by SVT.

The person who was shot in connection with the school attack is a former student at the school. He was previously convicted of assaulting another pupil at the primary school he attended.

He has also received care under LVU, Sweden’s law on the care of young people.

According to information obtained by SVT, the 18-year-old carried out the attack with a sword and was wearing a helmet.

Heavily armed police were also reportedly present at the 18-year-old’s address.
