Oslo police are investigating a now-deleted anonymous post on the social platform Jodel that referenced a teacher in connection with Sunday’s fatal stabbing in the Ammerud district, Dagbladet reports.

A man in his 40s was found dead in an apartment on Sunday morning, and a man in his late 20s—who was present at the scene—has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Police confirm both individuals had ties to Enebakk municipality, where the victim worked as a teacher. The suspect, who has not yet been formally questioned, was remanded in custody for four weeks on Monday.

Anonymous post under review

Police prosecutor Anne Cathrine Ingulstad Aga told Dagbladet that authorities are assessing a tip about a Jodel post made over the weekend. The since-deleted message, written by an anonymous user, claimed to be at the home of a former teacher in Ammerud and levelled accusations against them. “It’s a tip we’ve noted and will evaluate,” Aga stated, without confirming a direct link to the case.

Enebakk mayor Christopher Leiknes (Labour) described the incident as “a tragic event” and confirmed the municipality’s crisis team has been activated to support affected residents.

Suspect’s criminal history

The arrested man has prior convictions, including a 30-day prison sentence in 2022 for threats and vandalism after damaging a pizza shop with a knife and threatening to kill an employee. He is also scheduled to appear in Follo and Nordre Østfold District Court in August, charged with threats against police and reckless conduct following online comments targeting MDG politician Frøya Skjold Sjursæther.

Attempts by Dagbladet to reach the suspect’s defence lawyer, Cecilie Nakstad, were unsuccessful.
