Kronägg recalls eggs in Sweden after salmonella detection
Kronägg is recalling eggs as a precautionary measure after detecting salmonella in the henhouse where the eggs were produced. The recall affects eggs from free-range hens packaged in 6-pack, 10-pack, 15-pack, 18-pack, 20-pack, and 30-pack configurations. Only the egg cartons stamped with SE 007 are included in the recall, specifically those with the stamps 2SE684-35 or 2SE684-36.
The company stated that the recalled eggs have been sold in limited quantities across several stores. They also warned that the products might pose a health risk, but added that salmonella bacteria can be killed within seconds at a temperature of 65 °C.
