M/S Tampere sold after years of troubles in Kanta-Häme and Pirkanmaa
The inland cruiser M/S Tampere, which has been navigating the waters of Kanta-Häme and Pirkanmaa, has been sold, according to Valkeakosken Sanomat. The report reveals that nearly all of the vessel’s windows have been broken. In recent years, the ship has faced removal from several ports in the Pirkanmaa and Kanta-Häme regions.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the boat was listed for sale on the Nettivene website for €58,000. However, by Wednesday, the listing was taken down, indicating that the vessel has been sold. The M/S Tampere was put on the market earlier this summer.
Last winter, the ship spent time anchored unlawfully at Mierola Harbor in Hattula. This summer, it was predominantly moored at Vanajavesi, near Retulansaari in Hattula. According to Valkeakosken Sanomat, the boat appeared on the Valkeakoski side over the weekend.
For decades, the M/S Tampere cruised Vanajanselkä. However, it encountered significant trouble in the fall of 2018 when fans returning from an HPK game ran aground in Akaa. In January 2019, the ship took on water while docked at Laukontori in Tampere. Since then, it has been removed from docks in Nokia, Valkeakoski, and Hattula. Efforts to reach the former owner for comment on the sale were unsuccessful.
