Faroese fishing company sells trawler Ango and leases replacement vessel

The Faroese fishing company Reiðaríið Ango has sold its trawler *Ango* and will lease the vessel *Jupiter* as a temporary replacement, according to a report by Faroese broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya.

The company, which purchased *Ango* in 2022, received a strong offer for the 1999-built vessel and decided to accept it. Co-owner Heri Godtfred confirmed the sale but stated that the company plans to acquire another ship in the future.

*Jupiter*, owned by the Klaksvík-based company Hvalnesi, will be leased to maintain fishing operations while Reiðaríið Ango searches for a permanent replacement.
