Faroese fishing company sells trawler Ango and leases replacement vessel
The Faroese fishing company Reiðaríið Ango has sold its trawler Ango and will lease the vessel Jupiter as a temporary replacement, according to a report by Faroese broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya.
The company, which purchased Ango in 2022, received a strong offer for the 1999-built vessel and decided to accept it. Co-owner Heri Godtfred confirmed the sale but stated that the company plans to acquire another ship in the future.
Jupiter, owned by the Klaksvík-based company Hvalnesi, will be leased to maintain fishing operations while Reiðaríið Ango searches for a permanent replacement.
