Yle regional TV news disrupted by technical fault
A technical fault disrupted regional TV news broadcasts on Finnish public broadcaster Yle on Wednesday, the company has confirmed.
The issue, which began at 16:55 local time, caused only the Uusimaa regional bulletin to air across all areas instead of the usual localised broadcasts.
Sanna Tornivaara, Yle’s head of news production, stated the fault had been identified and that efforts were underway to secure the remaining evening broadcasts. “We are working to ensure the regional TV news can proceed as planned for the rest of the evening,” Tornivaara said.
Viewers can access missed regional bulletins via Yle Areena, the broadcaster’s on-demand service.
